About Ross Burns
Ross was admitted to practice as a Solicitor of the New South Wales Supreme Court in 1976 and the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory in 1993. Ross has also previously been admitted to practice in Victoria and Western Australia.
Prior to moving to WA, Ross had over 30 years legal and commercial experience in Canberra in both the public and private legal sectors. Since moving to Western Australia in 2011, Ross has reinforced his legal and commercial experience with significant practical, hands on exposure to all contractual aspects of the resources industry.
Ross has a reputation for professionalism, integrity and efficiency which is demonstrated more recently by working on site, and Perth based, at a senior level in Contracts Management and Contracts Administration roles and in a contracts specialist advisory capacity on major resource projects in Australia.
He has developed considerable expertise in commercial contracts and business law fields, both in Government and private practice and on major mining and oil and gas projects in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

- Reviewing and monitoring contracts to ensure contractual risks are managed within acceptable commercial standards and timeframes and to ensure project objectives are achieved
